The Denver Comic Con is a fan convention that brings together fans across all genres of comics, films, television shows and video games. It launched in 2012 and is a run by a nonprofit group, making it unique among comic book conventions. The event has won numerous awards, such as the Best Fan Convention award from Westworld, and partners with Denver Pridefest to provide LGBT-related content. Typically, the Denver Comic Con is held at the Colorado Convention Center located in the Central Business District of Denver, Colorado.
