About the Cleveland Indians
Founded in 1901, the Cleveland Indians have been called by many names but have always been beloved by their city. The team was previously known as the Bluebirds, the Broncos and the Naps and has had their current name since 1915. On game days, the Cleveland Indians play at Progressive Field, which is found in Downtown Cleveland. Originally known as Jacobs Field, the stadium is often called The Jake by fans. The stadium can hold roughly 37,000 fans and has been the home of the Indians since 1994.
