The Nashville Sounds are a Pacific Coast League minor league baseball team that is affiliated with the Oakland Athletics. Founded in 1978, the team has been associated with many other major league teams and became the Athletics’ AAA affiliate in 2015. Nashville Sounds home games are played at First Tennessee Park, which is located in downtown Nashville. With a design inspired by country music, the unique stadium holds 8500 fans and opened in 2015.
