The New York Rangers are a part of the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League and were founded in 1926. The team was the first U.S. team to win a Stanley Cup. Madison Square Garden is the home of the New York Rangers and is nicknamed “The Garden,” “MSG,” “The Mecca” and “The World’s Most Famous Arena.” Located in Midtown Manhattan, the arena opened at its current location in 1968 and can hold about 18,000 fans for hockey games.
